simply me

Hello there and welcome to Make It, Bake It, Fake It.

Let me introduce myself...I'm Kate.

I'm a 30-something educator turned professional patient.

I love spending time baking, making things, fitness, creative things and hanging out with friends.
I dislike taking things slowly...which life with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia is challenging me in!
I love Jesus, and sharing the love He has for me.
I have an attention span that is...well...brief...and so I have a diverse range of hobbies that vary and change on a very regular basis.
I currently am eating a primarily grain free, dairy free diet...hence most of my recipes are geared that way.

Make It, Bake It, Fake It began as a platform to share ideas for living life, sharing good food, being creative without a huge time frame and heavy exertion required. That is, things done quickly/easily in the right way can be just as good as laboured efforts!

Since being diagnosed with a chronic illness, this has shifted the focus and now I also love sharing about my journey, surviving chronic illness, and a bit of advocacy for what this is like. Writing has been a great outlet for me to explore and share these thoughts!

So hence the eclectic arrangement of life, faith, baking, and creativity amidst a life with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

I can also be found over on Instagram @makeitbakeitfakeit, Pinterest - Make It, Bake It, Fake it, and I now also have a facebook page. I love to chat, and so feel free to drop me a line.

Thanks for stopping by!
